Welcome to Mary Dillingham-Burnt Meadow Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR OR DAR).

Our chapter is located in Lewiston, Maine, the second-largest city in Maine. We are an active chapter with diverse interests that uphold the objectives of our National Society: Historic Preservation, Education, and Patriotism. Visit our activities page to discover how we do this.

Founded in 1895, our chapter was the second chapter in Maine to be organized. Learn more about our founding and our namesake on the history page.

We would love to have you join us! Click membership to learn more about how to become a Daughter yourself. We have talented ladies standing by to help you with your application and the research to prove your lineage. Our work to assist students, celebrate American history, honor those who wear (or have worn) the uniform of our nation, welcome new citizens, conserve natural resources, and many other good acts has never been more necessary. The deeds of our Patriot ancestors deserve to be honored, and their accomplishments must not be forgotten if we are to continue as a free and independent people with liberties and freedoms hard-won on behalf of future generations. Please join us in the important work.
